Standard routine:
When your protest goes bust because almost no one shows up, provoke a confrontation with the police. 15 cops were injured, hardly a ‘peaceful’ demonstration.

I feel your outrage but these illegals have no understanding of first world concepts like rule of law, right or wrong, civic responsibility, or higher principle. Well sir, since they chose to be criminals and gain entrance to our home illegally, they missed out on the convential acclimation process that is designed to teach them.
Since they willingly chose to forgo that, I'm perfectly content to see them learn all about it at the end of a baton or worse. Then see them all deported so they can do it the proper way next time around. I suspect by then the lesson will be learned.
But really, to hell with marxists and socialists.
My family is half recent immigrants. They endured years of processing to become naturalized citizens. I attended my wife's naturalization around '96 after she'd been in process since around age 18. Years and years...
These illegals think they are above her. They think they are above all the Latino side of the family who has followed lawful procedure to become naturalized citizens. I take huge exception to that.
I say fire the politicians and put some Americans in office.
Well said - Cheers!

Yes, you got what I was saying. Glad it wasn’t too subtle for everyone (rolls eyes).

In 1969, during a “spontanious” riot in East Los Angeles along Whittier Blvd (a main road), Deputy John Delnero was struck by a coca cola bottle in the face.
It knocked out most of his teeth, cracked his pallette and caused arterial bleeding that almost cost his life. The bottle had been packed with wet beach sand to add weight.
If we’d been allowed to kill the S.O.B.s then, we might have cut down on the number of riots that have ensued since then. John’s wife, up until this event had been a very liberal lady as to regarding the Kent State shooting of rock and bottle throwers. The lady changed her tune.

I was the one that elected to use the descriptive term "tossed" without really having given it much thought........it was the first word that came to mind.
I suppose I could have used.........

Glad it wasnt too subtle for everyone (rolls eyes).I fully understood what you meant.

Would my use of a different term really have made a difference in what I was ultimately attempting to convey?
Sure. Words mean things.
(I see you used screen captures from a media presentation in your original post. Out of curiosity, what verb(s) did the broadcast reporter use?)
In a situation where you see the po' widdle pwotestors whining about "police brutality" because officers fired foam rubber projectiles into a crowd that was tossing bottles at them, the subtlety of difference between those two underlined words conveys a disproportion of force. Was the police reaction an over-reaction or not?
On such points hang civil rights cases.
I can't speak on the intent of the poster with whom you seem to have been disgruntled. I don't even know him/her; however, I now understand the source of your ire. IMO, your sense of ownership over the word "tossed" is misplaced. It's no doubt the term being used by the bruised illegal alien protestors themselves as they screech to all who will listen about "police brutality."
As I said, I don't know SW's heart, yet I picked up no insult or hostility directed at you (otherwise I would have stayed out of it), nor do I bear you ill will.
Incidently, thank you for those screen-caps. I've never seen foam rubber bullets. I had only heard of "rubber bullets" which left me with a perception of something smaller and harder than they apparently are. All the same, that's a lovely bruise on the torso of someone who survived his encounter/confrontation with/attack upon (you pick) ;o) authorities.

What a dustup over nothing. Sorry, hole_n_one, I thought the “tossed” remark was a media quote, my mistake. I take you at your word that you weren’t trying to make the bottle throwing look innocent or minor.
Titan, thanks for your defense, it was all just a misunderstanding.
Sorry for the late response, I’ve been away from the net for a couple of days.
