Fact Sheet: America and Our Allies Are Working Together to Keep Our Nations Safe
It has now been 85 days since President Bush requested that Congress pass emergency funds for our troops.
Today, President Bush vetoed the UNCONSTITUTIONAL pork filled monstrosity of an excuse for an emergency funding bill for our beloved troops.
If Americans are really so weak that they cannot stand up to the commies to buy a war bond, I shudder to think what the future holds.
Odd, no one has commented on the President with the babies.
I don’t think Americans are so weak, JAN. But I do think that the left would make a bond sale an opportunity to spout their liberal propaganda.
My favorite pics of him are with our troops. Most all the ones I’ve talked to adore him.
It was surprise to all of us :)
They appeared at the end of the show, in a pre-taped piece, thanking everyone involved in last week's Idol charity. (Idol had a two-night telethon last week that raised $70 million for hunger relief and health care in impoverished areas around the world).
It was a short piece, maybe twenty seconds.
At the end, W looked at Laura, with an impish grin on his face and said: "You think I should sing something?"
Laura: "I don't know, darlin'. They've already seen you dance."
The audience laughed and applauded! It was great scene.
Well...they see the sun rising, the rain, a natural disaster, a funeral, a graduation, nightfall, a stubbed toe, burnt toast, fried chicken, a Bush/Cheney sign, a victory sign, an SUV, tax cuts.........as an opportunity to spout their liberal propaganda. So what's one more outrage for them? ;*)
Thank you for the Veto Dose, JAN :)
So how do I find a link to this...........NOW!! ? :)
***”I don’t know, darlin’. They’ve already seen you dance.”***
Ohhhhh, Cool! Thanks, Jonny, I was hoping you’d show up and tell us what our First couple did on AI.
Hmmmm...I had to retype my post three times. Gotta get some sleep.
Nite all, and blessings to all you good Dosers.
Thank you! I enjoyed all the great pictures from today.
And, I can say that the democrat leaders/followers have not changed my view of them ———
“NEVER TRUST DEMOCRATS WITH NATIONAL SECURITY”
FReep On!
I was under the assumption that he was NOT going to veto today. Although, Dana Perino told the gaggle if he received it upon returning to DC, it was within the realm of possibility.
In case it did not happen today, I had prepared a very nice "Mission Accomplished" tribute for this evening. Thought we should set the record straight about his speech 4 years ago.
That sounds adorable. HOpe it shows up on You Tube or somewhere.
NEVER TRUST DEMOCRATS WITH NATIONAL SECURITY
Don't I have a DCC button that says that? ;*)
The American Idol website might have the clip tomorrow after the show airs on the West Coast.
Patience, Ohio, patience :)
Good night, Kit :) Sleep well.
DrDeb, you asked me to post Phsstpok’s comments from the Sunday Morning Talk Show thread if I could find them.
He is a brilliant guy and does the preview post for the Sunday shows just brimming with great research and wit.
Here are a couple of his comments about the President. I know he would not mind my posting them on this thread.
“It’s one of the great tragedies of this President that he trusts people and takes them at their word. The other tragedy is that he vowed when he came into office that he wasn’t going to play the kind of vicious political games his predecessor did. And for this President those kinds of promises are things that he’ll stick by, even at great personal cost.
And we all bash him for being an honorable man.
Such is life.
I have long maintained that President George W. Bush will very quickly be “rehabilitated” after he leaves office and will stand as one of the greatest presidents of all time. He will be viewed as Harry Truman was viewed in his later years.
I would vote for him, Cheney (either Dick or Lynn) or Rumsfeld over almost anyone being talked about for 2008. I’d vote for our current President Bush over his father in a heart beat.
Let us hope that the current crop of traitors (on both sides of the aisle) don’t succeed in defeating us so that we have the luxury of gaining that kind of historical perspective.”
GWB looked awesome today!!! He wasn't scared about standing up to the opponents! Love that man!
