Immigration rallies held across the country Tuesday produced only a fraction of the million-plus protesters who turned out last year, as fear about raids and frustration that the marches haven't pushed Congress to pass reform kept many at home.
In Los Angeles, where several hundred thousand turned out last year, about 25,000 attended the first of two scheduled rallies, said police Capt. Andrew Smith, an incident commander. In Chicago, where more than 400,000 swarmed the streets a year earlier, police officials put initial estimates at about 150,000.
Organizers said those who did march felt a sense of urgency to keep immigration reform from getting pushed to the back burner by the 2008 presidential elections.

On the contrary, they’re starting to take their success for granted.
Don’t tell Shep Smith that. His lead-in after Brit’s show was that “huge crowds” were protesting, even as their LA tape showed a very measly bunch scuffling down the street.
Why should these criminals even worry about it — they have almost every memeber of government throwing rose petals at their feet — giving them copious quantities of TAXPAYER DOLLARS — and allowing them to break untold numbers of laws, all while importing their poverty, their crime and their burden on American society.

Seattle’s amnesty rally was a major bust this year.
They predicted over 10,000 marchers. They got less than 5000, but still mission accomplished because they were able to logjam traffic during rush hour and the main pictures of these rally’s at the MSM websites presents pictures of the only people they found waving american flags. Where off-camera, the majority are waving mexican flags and signs demanding Mexico conquer the southwest US.
“I want to send them back,” said Phoenix resident George Propheter, who held up a large handwritten sign that read “Hell No.” “I’ve been in the city for 40 years. They’ve completely destroyed our city.”

I hope that every Republican realizes that illegal aliens and their supporters will never vote republican. Republicans can only gain in the Hispanic vote the same way Reagan won, by communicating and voting conservative.
The reason it’s lower is that the Dems were the ones who did most of the organizing in 06, in an effort to stir up the GOP base against the GOP Congress. Now that the election is over, and they are in charge, the last thing they want to do is draw attention to illegal immigration, and the fact that they are slowly conferring a creeping amnesty on these illegals.
