Thanks doug. FINALLY the truth is out. Our distasteful, truth twisting, out and out fabricating presstitutes and their bosses in congress and senate have carried this lie too long. I do wish the President, his staff and the republicans had the brass to rebut these lies.

Actually, I do remember the Captain stating this shortly after the event. Also, it's my understanding that "Mission Accomplished" banners are not a new invention in the Navy (I'm an Army slug, I wouldn't know).
