This could be a trap set by the Dems.

Now, the Dems can dilly-dally and do nothing.

When the Admin complains that the military won’t get funded, the Dems can play the ‘we sent you a budget bill and you vetoed it’.

This will end up putting more pressure on the military and on the Administration than on the Dems.

I agree. The next one has some pork cut, say 1/3, different timeline for surrender. Then what does Pres. Bush do?

Exactly! More political posturing at the expense of our men and women in uniform. What's *really* needed right now is an ROE change!
