Let’s see if the media dedicates as much positive attention to the President’s veto as they did to the Reid/Pelosi signing ceremony.

"coincidentally on the fourth anniversary of his so-called Mission Accomplished speech."

coincidentally? Only after careful planning and delay by the RATs.

He should call on Reid and Pelosi to resign for a conflict of interest.

Bush’s continued attempts to stay above the politics in this are a great gesture but they hurt him in the overall impression of how he is doing his job. I really wish he would call out the Dems that would get our troops killed playing politics and eventually get more Americans killed here at home.

I hope he talks about dhimmitude and defeatism.

I hope that the President is very tough on the Democrat traitors tonight.

He needs to say that “the Islamic extremists who want to conquer the world are looking for any sign that America is weak and not willing to fight, and the liberal Democrats are giving them such assurances on a daily basis. Without this constant positive reinforcement from the appeasing Democrats, it is quite likely that the War efforts would be easier and quicker.”

War is partly physical and largely psychological. The Democrats are keeping our enemies in the psychological battle far longer than they should be in it.

You all still have approximately 40 minutes left to give the White House a call, on their comment line, and "tell the president" what you'd like him to say this afternoon regarding the Surrender Party's actions last week.

I believe he should make it clear that if the dhimmis don’t give him a clean bill that he will move money from other sources at DOD. He should then give examples like closing bases in heavy dhimmi districts on the coasts and transferring all personnel to heavy Republican districts.

Harry's Song:

I am the very model of the modern liberal senator,

Betraying U.S. Soldiers for Islamo-fascists sinister;

I’ll sell out for George Soros scorning those who fight and die for me,

And when I get in trouble Chucky Schumer’s there to lie for me.

My chips are on Al Qaida, no, I do not care to hedge my bet,

While others mourn when soldiers die, I calculate the seats I’ll get.

Though this treasonous behavior thwarts description save in metaphor--

Like damning of the SCOTUS for upholding laws you voted for.

I used to play the moderate but let me say those days are through.

I’ll cut the troops off at the knees because Pelosi tells me to.

That’s why in matters treasonous, unprincipled and sinister,

I am the very model of a modern liberal senator.

Why can’t Bush just use his line-item veto?

I wish Bush would say mission WAS accomplished!! We took out hussein!!! The WOT, however, will go on for years to come. Preferrably in Iraq as the cockroaches continue to move in to that country and not ours.
Too bad the msm and the liberals don’t GET that!!

All President Bush has to say when he vetoes this garbage is,”if American’s choose defeat in Iraq then they will elect a Democratic next President and that President won’t even need a bill to retreat”.

He’s been saying he’s going to veto it for weeks now. Why not stop talking about it and just go ahead and do it?

This will be a prelude to a compromise. Bush will say the bill is unacceptable for a number of reasons, including the deadline for withdrawal and the pork. He will conclude that he is willing to meet with the Dems immediately to address their concerns and get a bill that everyone can agree to. He will stress that the need for funding for the troops is urgent and Congress must act quickly in a bipartisan manner. I doubt the President will be too confrontational with the Dems recognizing that he will have to strike a deal with them.
