CA Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will attend the first Republican presidential debate at the Reagan library on Thursday.
There are plans to introduce him to the audience before the debate begins.
Do we know the format for this debate? Are the candidates allowed to ask each other questions?
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is what we DON'T want..."
Democrats are invited?
Silly - a debate this early is simply an opportunity to NOT foul up.
I hope our candidates use it as an opportunity to attack the democrats.
No wusses allowed.
Right. We get to see not only the leading liberal candidate for the GOP nomination, we get to see his progressive friend. The liberal Arnie Schwarzy will join the liberal Rudy Giuliani. And here I thought all the Rockefeller Republicans were a dead and buried. Little did I know. LOL
Whoopie......Give me a break.....Is Ms.Kennedy gonna be their?
NO they can’t ask questions - but I think Politico website is going to have people on the internet ask questions to each of the candidates. I am sure the questions will be screened thoroughly of course before hand.
My dream question (which will NEVER be asked):
We begin tonight's debate with a question for Mayor Giuliani. Mayor, we have with us tonight a special guest, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. As I'm sure you're aware, many of the people who promote you for President say to ignore your large amount of left-wing positions on he issues because supposedly you're a "fiscal conservative" and "the only Republican who can win". Virtual the exact same people made the exact same arguements about Governor Schwarzenegger's candidacy in 2003. But he has not governed as a "fiscal conservative", state spending under him is worse than it was under his Democrat predecessor. All around the country, Republicans can report simular stories about alledged "fiscal conservatives" who destroyed their state and moved it further leftward, ranging from Governor Don Sundquist of Tennessee, to Governor George Ryan of Illinois, to Governor Bob Taft of Ohio. Given the overwheming track record of liberal Republicans to be anything but "fiscally conservative" in office, why should we believe you'll be any different? Isn't this another case of Lucy pulling away the football from Charlie Brown?
Bump!
I told everyone back then, elect Schwarzy the liberal in Cal and the next thing we'd see is Rudy the liberal running in 2008.
And here we are.
A vote for Rudy is a vote for liberalism.
