I fault Tenet a lot less for missing out on the 9-11 attacks, than for many other things prior to and after it. But mostly I fault him for his lies and betrayals of the last few weeks.

It goes beyond prevaricating just trying to sell books to lefties... It is like he was paid off by Soros to try to make the whole USA look bad.

You are absolutely right on this. How is any President supposed to get advice and speak openly with his his closest aids, knowing that with a year or two, some of those aids will be relating the conversation to the press in a way that is intended to produce sensational headlines, and make the President and his other aids look bad, while the President and his other aids are still trying to deal with the problem? It would bad enough if the the subject were something mundate like a budget or farm bill. It is unforgivable when the topic is a life or death issue of national security and the person being feted by Larry King and Oprah is the Director of Central Intelligence. Do these people have any sense of duty, honor or decency left? This kind of betrayal for fun and profit needs to stop.

Tenet was a Bureaucrat first and always. This is why he remained at the head of the CIA under Clinton. I do recall Tenet complaining that Clinton hardly ever meet with him. Naturally people would ask why did you not resign your post?

Tenet, to me, was in over his head, and was a poor leader. He is a follower and never has been a leader. Tenet did not seem to have any problem with what was going on until he got the blame.

The hardest think for a Bureaucrat to do is to say I am in this position because of the decisions I have made. Ditto the rest of us too.

Bush made the mistake of not phasing Tenet out. Nevertheless, I blame most of September 11th on Clinton. If I had to put it in a percentage, then I would say probably 80%. To me that is Clinton’s legacy. Never mind the Impeachment part.

Its too bad we do not have a Ronald Regan today to exercise the kind of leadership our country desperately needs. Most of the Democrats are Traitors as far as I am concerned, and the Republicans have no balls. Besides the War on terror, and taxes they are not that much different when it comes to Government spending.

We the people need a Conservative party to take back our great Nation before it falls into the abyss with the current two party system.
