Lightweight Senator Overwhelmed By Grown-ups At Adults-Only Function
White House hopeful Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), known for his soaring rhetoric, stumbled during the first Democratic debate Thursday at South Carolina State University
Senator Barack Hussein Obama proved his true mettle when he was constantly unmasked as indecisive, unfocused, uninformed and generally overmatched by the competition. He made misstep after misstep, that by the time the debate ended, he proved beyond a doubt that he was incapable of overcoming democrat competition, let alone lead the military as Commander-In-Chief.
He was so practiced and drilled on question answering techniques that required the obligatory bluster which had prefaced all his canned responses, that he proved incapable of formulating an adequate impromptu response. He may be able to stand on his feet, but he cannot think on them. He proved beyond a doubt the following weaknesses:
- WEAK MILITARY ABILITIES: Obama was asked how he would "change the U.S. military stance overseas" if two U.S. cities were attacked by al-Qaeda. After a reference to the botched response to Hurricane Katrina, he said "review how we operate in the event of not only a natural disaster, but also a terrorist attack."
- INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND LAW: Obama's debate claim that the Iraq war could end with "one signature" from President Bush or "16 votes," referring only to the Senate, is wrong. Obama's debate claim that the Iraq war could end with "one signature" from President Bush or "16 votes," referring only to the Senate, is wrong.
- MIS-PORTRAYS HIS OWN ACCOMPLISHMENTS: When asked about his "questionable ties" to slumlord Tony Rezko. Obama replied that while a state senator, "The first bill I ever passed was campaign finance reform legislation.'' He's wrong. It was not his first bill. Obama's first bill...passed the Senate unanimously on March 13, 1997, and was signed by former Gov. Jim Edgar on Aug. 22, 1997.

This was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Gravel was the only one with testicles. Doubt he will be invited back. He will be as welcome in future Democrat debates as Ron Paul will be at Republicans. These guys haven’t learned Kumbaya.

Obama has a similar problem to Hillary. Both have been so scripted that they have a difficult time speaking extemporaneously.
Hillary, at least, does have a bit more political scene experience than Obama, so she can slide a bit easier.

I gather the Sun Times is supporting Sen. Clinton.
The news reports I saw said he did well in the debates, but they were all from the lame stream media.

Re: Obama's Ears
The Empty Senator's ears are not the issue. What is in between them is what is important.

Obama or Barack Hussien did appear very nervous and unprepared. Kind of sums up his whole career. I cant wait to see him debate someone with a real grasp of the issues. Could you imagine how much he will stutter facing off against someone like Fred Thompson. He will probably run off the stage and look for his mommy. If he has the guts to show up. Or imagine him having to debate Allen Keys or maybe J.C. Watts. Now you see why I cant wait. Gravel will be at all the debates. He is so weird he even makes Dennis Kucinich look almost normal. And has anyone ever heard of him even in his home state.

Obama doesn’t have the slick, political savvy like Hilary; she’s learned from the expert.
