There is a difference in the sound of outgoing mail and incoming mail before final delivery. hehehehe were both mean. LOL. Yes, it didn't take me long to learn the difference. Now I can usually tell if the sound is a mortar or a rocket, or IED or VBIED...and an estimate of the distance.
155s make a powerful noise, but it's music to my ears. :-)

If the 8-inchers are participating hard then the musical score is a little heavy on the bass notes.

Imagine what it was like for the WWII Vet’s hearing those 16 inch naval guns.
Some of the old Vets have described it as sounding like the Sunset Limited Mail Train, high-balling it through.
Wouldn’t you like to have a few of those to add to that Concerto you’re listening to.

I love the sounds of the F-16s or A-10s or B2s screaming overhead, bent on a mission, too.

Nothing quite like the smell of napalm in the morning.....or noon...or midnight....it burns the bad guys and sucks the air out of their lungs....all at once!!!

Our explosions are louder than their explosions. And if they happen to wake folks up and annoy someone.. watch out!
