Chris Matthews of MSNBC will moderate.

I'd prefer a costumed circus clown, or a chicken-biting geek.

This ought to be hysterical - he'll probably get so agitated, he'll spit all over himself. What a scumbag he is.

You can just watch him repeat the positive, optimistic intro to the Democratic candidates forum. Well, when he wasn’t too busy trying to inflate the stature of the just departed Jack Valenti.

Spittle Matthews? No thanks.

I don't care for Matthews either but I want to hear Ron Paul. How they handle Matthews should be interesting :>}

And Fred Thompson is where on that list? That’s the problem I’m having with him. By the time he gets off the darn fence, the primaries will be over.

I will most definately try and catch this debate. I just wish Chrissy wasn’t moderating it.

Old Jack had to be weaned from Lyndon’s...uh..short arm. He and Moyers: opposite sides of the same coin.

It’s 18 months to the election. Ross Perot didn’t enter the field until 1992 and he could have won, except that all he wanted was the defeat George Bush I.

I’ll get the wine ready and drink to how many “biased” questions he asks. I guess I’ll be tanked within the first thirty minutes.

I don't look for him to run especially if Rudy starts tanking in the polls.

Thanks, I forgot to excerpt the date.

FWIW, this article did not need to be excerpted as The Politico is not on FR's no-no list.

Guaranteed. The number of “when did you stop beating your wife?” questions will be astronomical. I’m sure the first one will be along the following lines: “You voted for Bush’s illegal and wrongful war in Iraq despite the fact there were no WMD and Saddam was a great guy and it’s now a civil war and we’ve lost so what would you do as president?”

LOL, here are a few more points that might be addressed:

So you are anti-woman’s rights, I mean anti-abortion, pro-gun, you like to starve children and umm of course will you now admit that everything wrong in the world is Bush’s fault.

Yeah, I voted for Perot. Then I voted for Buchanan. Got 8 years of Clinton. Won’t make that mistake again. The primaries are one thing, but I’ll go with the guy with the R next to his name come election day.
