You know what? I always went with the so called “purity test” regarding candidates. I was young and stupid. Politicians lie. At least Rudy won’t sit there with his finger in the wind, deciding to say what he thinks we want to hear. This gives us an honest choice. The only conservatives I see who dislike Rudy are the ones who have chapped lips from kissing butt.
If the only reason Fred is in this is to unseat Rudy, then he’s no better than Perot. *cough* I voted for Perot...
Fred says NOT GUILTY in the senate trial. Fred says "Let the chips fall where they may" then Fred says "Don't name no names". Which Fred are we talking about? BTW I'm from Tennessee. Fred in his first term was fairly good. Fred in his second term was a major disappointment and people have short memories politicians love. Fred couldn't manage his own Committee Hearings. He let John Glenn take over and make it a mockery. To make matters worse if anyone in the senate could have taken down Bill Clinton on corruption Fred was the man. He had dealt with a corrupt governor and was a major player in sending him to prison. What makes anyone think he'll be different as POTUS than he was his second term as senator? Who for Vice POTUS then? Ted Stevens?
bump!
As a former Thompson voter, I agree.
To make matters worse if anyone in the senate could have taken down Bill Clinton on corruption Fred was the man.
He should have.
Ron Paul was much more tenacious in impeaching Clinton. Thompson, to some extent, diluted Paul’s efforts.
That is a concise summary of Giuliani's ideology.
Learn something new every day. Being from Tennessee, you would know more about Fred than I would. I never said I was voting for him. In fact, I’m waiting and gathering facts about all of them. I need input from people who actually have seen a candidate in action. Thank you for that information.
I’ll tell you the biggest problem I have with Rudy. He is a partner in a consulting firm that does business with Hugo Chavez. When asked about this, he said he didn’t know who all the clients were. Trust me, if my name is on something, you can bet I’m going to know who I do business with.
I never even pretended to believe that Rudy is a conservative, however I don’t believe that he waffles like Kerry. Kerry has redifined waffling, flip flopping, and sticking his finger in the wind like no one else. The man is a disgrace on so many levels. The abomination known as Hillary is in a class all by herself. She’s no liberal, she’s a Marxist dictator wannabe. If she becomes president, it will probably be the last election America will ever see. My opinion.
I appreciate that opinion!
uh . . . did you mean to say, "opposite sides of the same loin?"
I made that same mistake, and it was my first election to vote in.
I voted for Perot in my very first election and I guess you could say I learned my lesson.
I like Fred too.
Ten is too many for a debate. It will be a sound-bite contest.
Well, thank you :)
Well like I say, live and learn. With Hillary and Obama running for the Dem nomination, there isn’t too much room for error. I think we have a right to be scared. Bill was a womanizing buffoon, but Hillary is a Marxist straight down to her bone marrow. Obama is slick. I have found myself liking him until I snapped back to reality. Scary stuff :(
LOL. In any case. Lyndon had a large number of sycophants. Of them all, I find Moyers the most intolerable. The very symbol of what is wrong with PBS.
You mean Mr Race baiting Chris Matthews will be moderating this??
Chris Matthews and Elizabeth Edwards play the race card.
