Sounds pretty smart, but how do you do it, enter ICE as a contact?

excellent advice! we have an I C E entry on all of our cel phones too.
bahbah, when you select who you want contacted in case of
an emergency, you just enter ICE before their name when
you enter that contact. our kids have ICEmom as me :)

in my cell phones memory it has mom, dad, husband, etc... as contacts to call. All a police man has to do is scroll the phone and the names and numbers are right there and all you have to do is push the select button and it calls them.
We both have On Star in our cars as well and they have all the contact information for both of us should they need to call one of us(my husband and I).

I just put I C E in my phone and set it to my lovely and gracious fiancee's number.
I'll have her reciprocate today.

This is good information for all to pay attention to.
The first responder services do look for “ICE” on people’s cell phones to save time - many people’s first contact do not share last names, area code proximity, etc.

I read something a while back on other features of cell phones that are not commonly known. Such as being able to open your car doors if the keys are locked inside and also accessing emergency battery power. Pretty neat stuff.

I use ICE!! on my cell phone. With it programmed for my wifes cell phone, which is always on. You never know and it only takes a minute. Also have HOME and MOM/DAD for other contacts.
When we find cell phones lost at our stores i scroll through the phone book and contact a relative to let them know whomevers phone this is it is lost.

Also, something I use is a number and them a name so that when the phonebook button is pushed it defaults to the first number. example 1a would be my wifes cell phone so that all I do it hit phone book and then send. Kind alike a hot key.

A BTT for an excellent suggestion. I put Mom’s number on my phone but she had it forwarded to the local organ donor’s society. They’re supposed to wait until you’re through using them...right?
