Fatwa on polio drops because they turn kids sexually impotent
Thousands of children below five years in Peshawar could not be administered polio drops, after a fatwa issued by anti-state cleric Maulana Fazal Ullah declared that these drops could turn the kids "sexually impotent".
Ullahs message warning the people against the polio drive was aired on illegally-run radio FM channels. The cleric is said to be holding tremendous influence in the area and people accede to his directions.
He said that polio drops rendered the kids "sexually impotent", and also called upon the people to boycott the polio drops because these (polio drops) were a tool used by the Western countries, particularly the US.
According to The Nation, the parents of more than 4000 children refused to provide polio vaccines to their children during the 3-day vaccination campaign which concluded yesterday.
During the ongoing Talibanisation campaign in NWFP and adjacent tribal belt, the extremist forces in the absence of writ of law have much influence in these areas, and the locals are bound to follow their directives, reported the paper.
About 1023 vaccinators in Swat district were tasked to administer OPV to 3,37,000 children below the age of 5 years. However, on the concluding day the health officials confirmed that parents in different villages including Dewlai, Koza Bandai, Bara Bandai, Dherai, Qambar, Charbagh and Guli Bagh of Swat did not allow the vaccinators to provide the polio drops to their children, added the paper.
On the first day of the drive, parents of around 2400 refused the vaccinators to administer drops to their children, he added.
Throughout the vaccination campaign the security situation was normal, owever, very few people got their children vaccinated, the paper quoted confirmed sources as saying.
The health department with financial assistance of different international donor agencies like WHO, UNICEF, JICA was carrying out different immunization campaigns in which along with anti-polio vaccines some drops of Vitamin B were administered to the children.
We should spray the area with polio virus.
It would only effect the Taliban or their followers.
Could it be...
With sincere thanks to the unknown FReeper from whom I shamelessly (ahem) "borrowed" this pic...
aint islam grand?
Yes, and when an epidemic breaks out the news will be full of scenes of the c-h-i-l-d-r-e-n and the MSM will be asking “Why didn’t BUSH do-o-o-o something?” and then we’ll send in millions $$ in aid, and we’ll have to hear from the NYT who will tell us that it, obviously, was because of the U.S.’s discrimination policy against M-u-u-u-u-u-slimes..... and the Hill-de-beast will be whining about the c-h-i-l-d-r-e-n..... and the beat goes on.
And when they begin to develop polio we know who they’ll blame.
L0L
You, sir, get a kewpie doll for seeing it the way it is.
I guess that is one way to drain the pool of islamofascists. I don’t like it though. I don’t like seeing kids die at the hands of islamofascists — even if they are their own kids.
Hmmmm? Do I want my kids potent or to walk like FDR? Tough choice.
The people issuing the fatwa want a new generation to continue their tradition of raping tourists, children, and farm animals.
This means they can’t get a Visa to the US—thanks for small blessings.
Don't insult pigs that way.
Pigs are actually very intelligent, especially wild or feral hogs.
As to the polio vaccine causing impotence, well I had both the Salk shots and the Sabin drops (on a sugar cube!) as a youngster. I fathered two children and at 57, am still willing .... and able.
Like our crack state department can’t be duped with false docs.
To say these barbarians are stuck in the seven hundreds is to give them way too much credit. Present day autopsies would probably show prosimian influence.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Like that moslem boy filmed after the tsunamni, He was wearing a bin Laden t-shirt and screaming “where is America?”.
They’ll most likely get a religious exemption.
