We had a vegetable as President, and the Democrats seem to not mind it, some say that after Woodrow Wilson had his stroke in office, he basically was a vegetable.

There's a lesson there: don't trust anything or anybody that's left of center. LOL!

But he’s an excellent candidate on his merits as a leader and as a man. I’ll probably vote for him, though I worry about the possibility his health might take a turn for the worse late in the general election campaign.

Just so he picks a strong vp candidate and gets through the election. Fred is the only Republican so far that satisfies almost all Republicans. It's time to announce.

Opposing time-table for withdrawal translates to opposing withdrawal it the minds of average public. The ones that liberal media is so easily able to manipulate. FT should say I support withdrawal as soon as clearly defined objectives are met. Otherwise withdrawal would be surrender and I oppose surrender. Minor points but that’s the whole game.

The problem is that Fred may have said that but the DBM didn't report it.

Wasn’t EDS the domain of Ross Perot before he sold it to GM?

There’s not much of anything I could hate this guy on. I do hope he runs.

Fred’s biggest obstacles are 1. his late start and no fundraising to date.

I am reminded of the old joke in which the commander says with his back to the privates. "If anyone wishes to volunteer for this dangerous duty, please step forward." All but one private steps back leaving the one up and front.

The problem isn't that Fred is starting late, it's that all the others have started early. Fred still has time to announce. Even without announcing he is ahead of several and nipping at the heals at all the others. Once he announces he will have only two to catch up with: Giuliani and McCain. I don't think either will be hard to catch once FT gets in the race.

Several other candidates also have cancer—it’s not a death sentence any more, and if there’s a ‘good’ kind to have, it’s the kind Fred has—asymptomatic and not likely to cause many problems.

I think Fred looks GREAT!! And sounds GREAT! And has GREAT ideas already for someone who hasn’t even declared himself in the race. :-) Once he announces, you’re gonna see some history making things happen on a grassroots level, mark my words. :-)

Run, FRed, RUN!! :-)

I thought it was when you go sightseeing in one of them motorized mobile homes that retired people take around the country—you know, winnebago types? ;-)

And wasn’t that a bad Robin Williams movie awhile back?
