Very sad. I don’t know why the “black community” turns out to support its thugs and not guys like this poor citizen (who I imagine was probably also black).
Or maybe it’s simply that the media magnifies the support for the thugs and never reports the support for the decent citizen.
I was in Cleveland for a conference in 1995 and the parts of it I saw looked quite nice, or so I thought. The suburbs were so clean.
Anyway, you are right. Why was he robbing people? To buy food? I suspect not.
If there is outrage over the violence perhaps they should target rap “artists” like the one who recently said it was his code of honor to never cooperate with the police. Even if he knew a mass murderer was next door. Yeah, nice attitude. I guess the police are the enemy. But then if police fail to show up fast enough, or prevent crimes, then they become the target of the community’s anger. There is just no satisfying certain elements.
They could be including details so that the informed reader will know what gang the kid was in.
In LA the Crips wore blue, or even just blue shoelaces, and the Bloods wore red. A story about a kid in a baggy red satin jacket told us what his affiliations were.
Everyone I know, knows to never come to my house without calling. Otherwise, the get to meet Mr. 45 with Hydrashocks.
The great part is since I live on a hill, it’s easily defensible property (especially with a mini 14) plus I live in a conservative neighborhood except for one guy who had a Kerry lawn sign.
We’ve since driven him out of the neighborhood with pitchforks. /sarcasm.
One time I was off sick and someone tried to put a key in my lock, I heard it and drew down on him in a second. He was not pleased nor was his friend. Turned out they were legitimately delivering a sofa to a friend. I took his plate number down and sent him on his way. 15 minutes later the local cops came by, I told them the story, they laughed and left. This was when I lived in a suburb of Sacramento.
What in hell is it with these people?
The Peer Group mentality. Us Vs. Them................
Yea, what a country - these scum have a vote. Remember that the enemy is within.
Well, he’s robbed a lot less folks at 15 than he would have if he’d reached 30. There’s good in everything, I guess. (smile)
We keep reading about these things over and over, yet none of our suppossed leaders ever makes the comments directly to the inner-city folks that if they don’t want crime and drugs to control their lives, then THEY, and THEY alone, need to get off their collective asses and do something about it, including helping the cops, watching their children, and teaching themselves how to solve the problems they keep having. Until these criminals are held accountable for their actions by their own NEIGHBORS and FAMILIES, the problems will only fester and grow worse, and our leaders need to start telling them this in no uncertain terms.
These are not civilized people. Regardless of their ethnicity, they have become tribal, and are operating according to tribal law. You kill a member of the tribe, you face the wrath of the tribe. Period.
That's because homey cain't type.
Smokin’ youts can be hazardous to your healt.
Rocawear, started in 1995, is not a brand but a lifestyle co-created by one of the greatest rappers of all time, Jay-Z. With his vision, Rocawear designs ...
Their shorts are $60-80.
I’m glad I live in the country in WV where thugs arent tolerated and ccw holders arent regarded as urban vigilantes.
You are right. The poor soul who defended his life is also a black man.
I cracked up with the pitchfork comment. He he.
My sentiments, exactly. And it absolutely comes right out of the pit of hell. These people are stupid hypocrites. They complain about the horrors of “their” communities but when a guy gets rid of one the little thugs tormenting them, they place teddy bears and flowers at the shooting site, in honor of the dead thug and meanwhile trash the guy’s house.
The worst part is that, if I recall correctly, the house is one he is renting. The poor landlord is going to have to pay for the damages. Unreal.
Exactly. I always shake my head when I hear, “he was a good boy” or “he was my baby.” Sheesh.
You know what it reminds me of. My sister-in-law’s son (my nephew) was getting into a bit of trouble - thankfully, nothing serious - but he was on the wrong path. She was always talking about the bad kids he was hanging out with and I said to my husband, “Did you ever notice how everyone who’s kid does bad things always blames it on the buddies he’s hanging out with???” Nobody’s kid is the bad one; it’s always the “other kids.” I honestly see why the kids are screwed up; their parents are total idiots. They don’t hold them accountable so the kid feels no responsibility.
My son was not perfect but he never got away with the blame game.
