DNC Dean Says Giuliani's 'Personal Life Is A Serious Problem'
Drudge Report ^ | April 27, 2007

Democratic party chairman Howard Dean said on Thursday that Rudy Giuliani "personal life is a serious problem."

Dean sent the warning on CNN's SITUATION ROOM with host Wolf Blitzer.

Chariman Dean said the former New York City Mayor "has a lot of character issues that he has to answer for. And overwhelmingly, Americans are going to vote on honesty and integrity.... We've begun to reach out to evangelical Christians, and that's a real problem for him. His personal life is a serious problem for him."

BLITZER: Well, describe those character issues...

DEAN: No, I'm not going to get into that stuff. I don't like attacking people on their personal lives, but I can assure you that in the Republican primary, given what went on in the 2000 Republican primary in South Carolina between George Bush and John McCain, those attacks will be made in the Republican Party.

Developing...

” Do you REALLY want to see a President Obama or another President Clinton?”

If we must have a liberal in the white house, I would prefer that it be a democrat. A democrat would have republican opposition to liberal programs. A liberal republican would not.

In the long run, we would be better off with a democrat than with Rudy.

I personally think you’re out of your mind. Rudy does believe in protecting this country and I think he’ll pull out all the stops to see that we are not attacked again. When I think of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and their articulated hatred of our country (not in those words, but in their support of measures that insure our destruction) I cannot imagine anyone, particularly not a republic, who can even begin to think of a democrat in the WH.

And do you really believe that a liberal republican would not have republican opposition to liberal programs? You haven’t been listening, I’m guessing... Do you really believe that President Bush has conservative Republican support on his stands that are not conservative? Like the borders, for instance?

Your entitled to your opinion. It’s my belief though that Rudy would be the worst possible person in the white house. He’s basically a democrat. He would still have opposition on the war from the democrats, but they would go along with his liberal policies.

Why do you think Rudy would be worthwhile regarding the war on terror? Because he says so? Other than being outraged at the attack on the WTC (along with 300 million others) what has he done. Well, one thing he tried to do was to get his x-limo driver put in charge of Homeland Security... What a jerk.

Can the hypocrisy of the left wing hate filled traitors reach a limit? Or is it limitless?

You're just being rhetorical, right?

You know it's limitless.

Rudy is definitely not my first choice and socially, I agree with you that he is basically a democrat. But I have listened, and he talks constantly about protecting this country against terrorism. I believe he would do infinitely more to prevent a terrorist against than any democrat running. Yes, because he says so. He is a competent manager and we know that he did an amazing job with improving crime rates in NY. We don’t know what anyone will do once in the oval office, but I believe the Rudy is essentially a straight shooter. Very far from perfect and not my first choice. But I cannot envision my beloved country in the hands of another democrat. I want my child and future grandchildren to have a country that exists and one that they can be proud of.

Do the Dems REALLY want to got to “personal lives” in this race? I don’t think so. But I say let’s do it! Giuliani and Newt can show their stuff all day long next to the Clitnon’s. They better get a different front runner if they want to play that game - or do they? Republicans are notorious for taking slung mud from self-righteous, yet hypocritical, Dems. They stand there and just let themselves be dismantled. Newt won’t allow that, and I don’t think Giuliani will. Both Bushes did, and Dole did. They just stand there in disbelief that people could stoop so low. Will Repubs fight back this time? Lord knows they have an enormous amount of ammunition.

I agree with you. I’d like to see a President Hunter, but I don’t think there’s any way it’ll happen. I’d like to see a Vice-President Hunter—that’s a realistic hope, I think. As for Giuliani, if he’s our candidate, I’m voting for him. Whatever he did, he wouldn’t create nearly as much evil for this country as Clinton or Obama would.

Hell, that’s exactly what many of the GOP say about Rudy, nothing to argue with here, I guess.

When Doctor Howard “Howlin’ Mad” Dean starts attacking our conservative presidential candidates, (you know—the ones we’ll actually nominate) I’ll start worrying.

Actually, it signals to me that he has subconsciously moved over to the Obama camp.
