April 26, 2007 -- The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) was introduced by two homosexual activists Rep. Barney Frank, (D-MA) and Tammy Baldwin, (D-WI), as well as Deborah Pryce, (R-OH) and Chris Shays (R-CT).
Yet another attack on Christians by the liberal controlled Congress, this anti-Christian legislation focuses on Christian employers. ENDA is based on the false premise that homosexuals are discriminated on in the workplace. This homosexual quota bill makes it illegal to fire, refuse to hire or refuse to promote an employee based on the persons sexual orientation or gender identity. All of the same bizarre sexual behaviors protected under H.R. 1592 are protected under ENDA.
To me, this is simply disgusting.
We are taught in the Bible to render to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s. But when Caesar sticks his finger in God’s pie, things change. This would be a law that the church would be justified in ignoring.
Soon, we’ll need a quota for Christians ;)
I thought that was already in the US Code? Nondiscrimination and all that.
Incidentally, years ago when Barney was a state rep. in Boston, every year he would file a bill to repeal all of the sodomy laws in MA.
Great, huh?
So employeers will now be forced to know about your private bedroom practices. Why can’t your sexual habits be a private matter? I know how evil it is to force gays ‘back into the closet’ but seriously, I don’t want to know about it and I never discus my sexuality. Leave it at home.
......hmmmmmand the response should be.......
A heterosexual quota bill that would make it illegal to fire, refuse to hire or refuse to promote an employee based on the persons heterosexuality.
I demand that congress pass a bill that requires employers to maintain a quota of American, white, Christian men between the ages of 35 and 50 that is equal to the population of the United States as a percentage.
How on earth would you enforce this? Isn’t it illegal to ask someone their sexual orientation in an interview anyway? Does this mean you can get in trouble if your gaydar doesn’t work right?
At the Department meeting I was in when it was announced, I immediately said to my VP, "before we go any further in this discussion, I want to tell you 'I'm gay'"....after the laughter died down.....
I figured I could slap 'em with a "discrimination" suit if they tried to eliminate ME!
(true story)
I second that.
My hand is between two warm fuzzy pillows....John Candy from “Planes Trains + Automobiles”
Cool, I’m going to apply for a high-profile position at GLAAD and sue them when I don’t get it.
That’s right. I can’t ever recall being asked my sexual preferences EVER when applying for a job.
So how can they say that Christian business owners are discriminating against hiring gays?
So, from this point forward 90% of all people working in the fashion industry must be hetro? Or can sue if they’re not hired? Hmmmmmm....
