Gunfight Breaks Out During East Texas Community Baseball Game
KLTV-TV (Tyler, Texas) ^ | 4/26/07

A gunfight breaks out at an East Texas community baseball game, sending two to the hospital. The Rusk County Sheriff's Department says the fight began when a man threw a beer can at his cousin, who was playing baseball at the Fairview Community Center in south Rusk County. Deputies say that's when the man grabbed a shotgun, filled with bird pellets and began firing. The cousin reportedly grabbed another shotgun and began firing back. Both men were hit several times with pellets, but no one else was injured. The sheriff's department says the man who started the fight faces aggravated assault charges.

I'm not sure if the guy who threw the beer can or the first to shoot would be the one charged.

I think the guy who threw the beer can was the first to shoot. .....not sure, though.

It could have been worse. A hockey game could have broken out.

Two shotguns at point blank range and neither one dies? I may have to rethink my self defense weapon at home.

Shotguns need to be under 21 yards and filled with 00 buck.

Otherwise, you’re far better off with a pistol or rifle.

Texas. Yet again confirming every possible stereotype that northerners have of the southern half of this country. Beer? Check. Shotguns? Check. Fighting? Check.

It was birdshot. I’m sure 00 would’ve been a lot more painful. Besides, I’m sure someone could chuck a beer can a fair distance.

Lol, someone should teach that dweeb how to handle his weapons. He looks like he could use some sunshine. The wrist reload is kinda neat in a weird unrealistic sort of way, though.
