And once again, absolutely the wrong lesson will be carried away from the Virginia Polytech massacre.

Concealed carry is NOT a cure-all for the problems of a beserker gunman who no longer feels compelled to abide by the rules. But conceal carry does have the not-so-subtle message that retaliation is a very real response to bad behavior with load weapons.

Maybe, with the concealed carry law in effect, the carnage will be either prevented altogether, as the assailant weighs his chances of making a serious impression before he is taken down, or a little street justice gets meted out right away.

The Kansas bill would prevent local governments from pre-empting CCW with more restrictive rules. It would esatablish a uniform statewide carry standard. And it has nothing to do with what happened at VA Tech.

Unarmed-victim zones = Denial that Evil exists and people cannot be free to resist zones.

Well...

Nobody said that some of these elected officials were the sharpest bowling balls in the bag...

If Kansans want to carry for self defense wherever they choose to go...I say give them the choice...Those that do, fine, those that don’t, fine...

But then again I always thought that Kansas might be one of the last bastions of anti self-defense there might be...

I’m going to have to re-think this and say that Illinois may be the last one to go...

Heck who knows anymore...

What pathetic LOSERS those milque-toast anti-gun politicians are! Like the Killer Cho was a licensed concealed carrier! LOL! The VTech massacre fallout SUPPORTS more than ever the pro-gun position, since a CCW-holder was specifically STOPPED from carrying his gun the prior year - maybe he would have stopped the satanic Cho.

proponents are unlikely to lose enough votes there to fail to reach the 83 they need to override the governor.

What would have been wrong with "proponents will probably have enough votes to override the governor"?
