" Looks like our true blue conservative did pretty well in our prior poll. Let's now see what happens if we nominate a social liberal who's okay with abortion, gay unions and gay rights is a gun grabber and is weak on illegal immigration. Who do you vote for in the general?
- The social liberal with the big "R"
- Third party
- Undecided/praying
- Stay home
- Hillary, et al
Incidentally, the Fred Fan Club on FR is gloating about Fred is such a "winner" because he gets 70% in a FR poll where the ONLY choices are him or Rudy on the ballot. My guess is that any "true blue conservative" would get a similar level of "support" in a hypothetical two-way race with Rudy.
Shall we test this theory? Have some FR "polls" on the following:
Rudy vs. Tommy Thompson - Pick ONE
Rudy vs. Huckabee - Pick ONE
Rudy vs. Brownback - Pick ONE
Rudy vs. Gilmore - Pick ONE
Et. al
They just past what is practically SAME SEX MARRIAGE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE... Where is the movement? Where is the voice of the conservative? I say it is lame, speechless. Why? because the Media has successfully won the mind of many who dare to even think for themselves. Sit back, get fat and enjoy the ride.....EVERYTHING YOU HAVE STOOD FOR WILL BE TAKEN. I SAY EVEN YOUR BIBLE, YOUR RIGHTS TO YOUR CHILDREN,YOUR RIGHT TO SPEECH. Your grandchildren will not know your God and will curse you. This is the price of conforming to this world.

LOOK THAT HUGE GRASSROOTS SUPPORT!!
We better have a FR poll on whether freepers will vote for “Rudy” or “George Allen” in the 2008 primary. After all, last year we heard vanities and pep rallies from so many freepers (none of whom will now admit that they were wrong) that George Allen 2008 was a foregone conclusion. No, he never said he was running, but everyone JUST KNEW he’d not only run but anniliate all challengers.
I mean when when you see hundreds of vanities proclaiming a guy who’s not even running is a “front runner” for 2008 they can’t all be wrong... can they?
So who you guys gonna vote for in next year’s primary? RUDY or GEORGE? Pick One. After all, those will the ONLY names on the ballot, trust me. :-)
.
Interesting to read this in the American Spectator.
This is absolutely right. Like several conservatives Antle mentions, I was willing to wait and see what Rudy would say. Well, now he has said it.
Regretably, I simply CANNOT vote for a pro-abortion Republican if Rudy gets the nomination. I understand that that would be disastrous, because it might lead to an even worse Democrat like hillary getting elected.
Too bad. I simply would have no choice. Because electing a pro-abortion Republican would set back the pro-life cause for another twenty or thirty years. That’s simply out of the question.
I am sure that many others will feel the same way, both conservative Catholics and Evangelicals. In fact, I would guess that Rudy would probably end up losing 20 or 30 million Evangelical votes and thus risk destroying the conservative coalition.
The obvious answer is that Rudy must not be nominated. Because there’s no way in hell that people are going to swallow their principles to that extent. No way.
The right to life is the most basic issue of all, from a religious, a moral, and a constitutional perspective. You can’t enjoy any of your other rights if you are killed before you are born. And the fallout from this kind of thinking has perverted all of our other laws as well, producing a generation of tyrannical judges.
My Fetus, I mean sister(7th month preemie) will not VOTE for Rudy.. even if he told much bigger lies..
Excellent and thank you.
It’s absolutely critical FOR THE GOP to stop Giuliani unless they want to abandon being the pro-life party.
A campaign between Giuliani and Clinton? - A more worthless choice for America cannot even be imagined.
