Perhaps the people that voted Yes understand market economics.
Is someone paying her $40M per year? The last I saw, she was turning down $10M per year
because she was only willing to sign for one year and the network wanted three for "some stability." I thought this was an entirely hypothetical question - "If you were a TV exec, would hiring Rosie for $40M/yr be profitable and a good business strategy?"
It sound slike based completely on free market principles, she's worth about $10M/yr. Of course, there are some things not worth doing no matter how profitable they may be, and hiring her makes the list. (And I would be surprised if the $10M/yr ended up being a good investment anyway.)
Actually look where market economics has gotten America....
