Fully automatic weapons are OK to have but you do need a federal permit and they cost a lot.
You bring up a good point. The university does contract with apartment complexes around campus to house students. I wonder if they can legally bar weapons from those premises?

Here's a tip for the author: Only Class III and Class IV body armors are rated to stop center-fire rifle rounds. Is that right? I didn't think any kind of body armor could stop a center-fire rifle round. Perhaps a lower powered cartridge but even so I have punched holes in 3/8 inch steel plate with soft point 7.62 X 39.

Class IV is rated to stop .30-06 AP.

Thanks. That’s amazing. Even with the Class IV body armor getting hit with .30 06 must feel like stepping in front of a speeding Mack truck.

***Officers said they will post Taylor's photo around campus, telling people to be on the look out for him after his release***
How about AFTER all of the other school shootings in the past years, you keep the psycho locked up for a long long time because he is obviously mental to have even done something like this right afetr the Virginia Tech incident...Naw, guess that would be too easy and then the media wouldnt have anything to harp on.
