Yeah, I couldn’t be a cop.
I’d get in a lot of trouble.

Not good. You’d never expect something like that to happen in a sleepy town like Maragaretville.

Prayers for the troopers and their families.

Add to that Officer Joseph Corr killed in New Hartford, NY nearly 1 year ago and Officer Thomas Lindsey gunned down nearly 2 weeks ago in Utica, NY.

As the Utica Police Chief said today, apparently it’s open season on police officers here in NY.

He has hate-filled “crazy eyes.”

Hope he is room temperature by a SWAT bullet real soon.

Usually these thugs are girlie-man cowards when faced with superior firepower, however.

Republicans press death penalty bill in wake of trooper shootings

ALBANY, April 25
By The Associated Press

The most powerful Republican in the state Senate is calling on Gov. Spitzer to use his influence with his fellow Democrats to bring back the death penalty to New York.

Saying it has become “open season on law enforcement people,” Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno of Rensselaer County is pledging to have his chamber approve legislation next week that would provide for the death penalty for the killing of police officers and prison guards.

Bruno’s comments came just after it was confirmed that two New York state troopers were shot this morning in Delaware County during the search for the suspect in the shooting of another trooper yesterday. One of the troopers shot today died, the other is hospitalized.

Bruno says it’s up to the governor to use his leverage and get the Democrat-controlled Assembly to pass death penalty legislation.

The state’s death penalty law was shelved by the Court of Appeals two years ago.
