Typical defeatocrat behavior, but I doubt they have the votes to override President Bush's veto.

"For the first time, the president will have to be accountable for this war in Iraq," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Tuesday. "And he does not want to face that reality."

He should be held accountable for being a spineless wimp instead of ordering Pelosi's arrest upon her return from the Middle East.

Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., chairman of the Democratic caucus, said, "We feel very good about where the caucus is."

In a septic tank?

Their whole goal is to approve funding as they want it (cut-and-run), force Bush to veto it, and then tout the fact that "we approved troop funding, but the President didn't", and force the funding issue while the troops are put at risk.

MSM will then focus on shortages of supplies, ammon, etc., and blame Bush....

It will backfire, and if Bush and the Republicans cave in on this issue, the Republicans will be wiped out of Congress and the White House in 2008.....for YEARS to come.

Maybe there are enough spineless, whore Republicans who will sell out the country’s interest for some pork. And btw, let’s not call it pork since that might offend the rag-heads.

Celebration of Surrender.

Democrats are worse than Neville Chamberlain: the terrorists of already attacked us on 9/11! And the TERRORISTS are working to push us out of Iraq!!

At least Hitler had not yet attacked England when dumb ol' Neville kissed his butt.

"It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage," Cheney said.

Cheney should ask Reid if Ameria's lost the war, who won?

If I were in Bush's shoes, I would pursue this as he has been. The congress either needs to fund the war or not fund it. If congress forces us into a position where we have to bugout, I would do it immediately and swiftly. I wouldn't leave underfunded troops in theater waiting for a date on the calendar that the troops and the enemy both know is coming.

Reid, D-Nev., dismissed Cheney's comments. "I'm not going to get into a name-calling match with the administration's chief attack dog," he told reporters.

He calls Cheney the "chief attack dog" in a statement saying he isn't going to get in a name calling match. Real substantive debate there Harry. Or should we call you Harriott?

"I wouldn't leave underfunded troops in theater waiting for a date on the calendar that the troops and the enemy both know is coming."

It appears to be a game of "chicken" to the Democrats/Moonbats, and the lives at stake are of no concern to them, except in the political impact of a disaster they would create.

If necessary, with no funding approval, Bush should invoke whatever means he can to fund the troops WITHOUT Congressional approval, although I don't know if an Executive Order (even in "Wartime") is legal.

The loony left thinks that stalling by forwarding funding with strings attached will cause a forced withdrawal when funds run out, which accomplishes their "cut and run" in effect....I don't think Americans would stand for such an act, in the end.

I think this is clearly what they are doing. I certainly hope we don't go down the path of making our military slowly starve out in Iraq waiting for March 2008 to bugout. If the dems force us into doing the dishonorable, there is no use putting it off. Like everything about this to the Dems, March 2008 is a politically motivated date. National security has never crossed their minds.

What an a-hole. Someone should mention to dingy harry that this sentence is self-contradictory.

And then explain "self-contradictory".
