It’s puzzling. Jessica Lynch is saying she was cast in a falsely heroic light by the DoD.

Why would elements within the DoD want to do the opposite with the Haditha Marines? Why make them into villains?

All the leaks that have come from "senior defense officials" have been calculated to have that effect.

Are the leakers Clinton appointees out to embarrass Bush? Or is there some kind of deal with the Maliki government? Or are they lackeys for Murtha? If I knew the answer, this farce could end.
