Abortion wars (barf alert!!!)
Financial Times ^ | April 24, 2007 | Staff Editorial

Abortion has long been a make-or-break political issue for American voters at either end of the ideological spectrum - but those in the middle seldom cast their vote by their reproductive politics.

Now all that may be about to change. The US Supreme Court's historic abortion ruling last week - banning one rare abortion procedure and inviting many more new laws to restrict reproductive freedom - has energised not just the fanatics on both sides, but the complacent middle too.

Up until last week, most middle-of-the-road voters assumed the constitutional right to abortion was basically safe: it might be trimmed around the edges, but the right to choose was not in jeopardy. Now they cannot be so sure.

The editorial mentions it is a "gruesome" procedure yet de-emphasizes the right(s) of the unborn.

HEY F. TIMES,

2/3 of Americans support banning Partial Birth Abortion.

Also, a sizable if not slim majority of “PRO CHOICE” Americans are really just pro-life lite. Most favor parental notification, waiting periods, and restrictions that would only allow abortions in cases of rape, incest, and life of the mother.

Our 5 “Rome-bots” on the Supreme Court will nullify his election and install the VP instead. It is plan “X” from the Vatican.

Man, I love the Roberts Supreme Court and my main man, Mr. Justice Clarence Thomas!

The only way he could be more pro-abort would be to advocate traking down pregnant woman and shooting them.

Rome-bots! LOL!

It’s unbelievable the amount of hysteria occuring on the left regarding all of our “papist” jurists. At some point, approximately half the country just needs to get up and admit that they don’t believe in God at all. The Rosie O’Donnells and Joy Behars of the world both serve as village idiots and canaries in the coal mine. I’m frankly glad they’ve put themselves front and center with their bigotry. Ultimately, it forces people to take sides and stop ignoring that there are bleating cows like the women of “The View” who would eat a six-month fetus for dinner if it falls under the protection of “choice”.

This clown needs to talk to the demented jackass in the upper thread who believes Americans trust Congress to handle the War better than the President.

Must have been ‘Shroom smokin’ together.

If I have this correct, Senator Reid, voted for a Law, that the SCOTUS upheld, and now Senator Reid is outraged at the decision.

Is that right?

Only a completely dead soul can make the following assertion so twisted in perspective: "... but those in the middle seldom cast their vote by their reproductive politics." Do they really think this naming slaughter of alive unborn children to be 'reproductive rights' will zip past we the people after all these many years of being exposed to their lies?

Sorry you missed the post by Claud (I think it was him...). He had a “letter” on Vatican stationery signed by Cardinal Sodano, then Secretary of State, dated January, 2006 instructing Justice Kennedy that, “Plan B...I repeat Plan B is now in effect. You may reveal that you and all your Catholic confreres on the Court are members of Opus Dei; your individual ‘sleeper’ status is now hereby revoked by the Sovereign Pontiff.”

It was classic. He got it off some website. Might want to keyword his name...

The US Supreme Court's historic abortion ruling last week - banning one rare abortion procedure and inviting many more new laws to restrict reproductive freedom...

This is for whatever moron staff writer presented this BS. Being Pro-Life isn't about restricting your "reproductive FReedom". It's about making you responsible for your "reproductive FReedom". No one is saying you can't FReely breed. We're saying you can't murder what you breed. Moron is too simplistic for this sort of thinking. Blackbird.
