Alberto Gonzales..... A total idiot. Words cannot express my contempt for him. He did nothing for Ramos and Compean. It reflects poorly on GW to appoint such useless people

I don’t know, dennis. I’ve watched people deal with things pretty well at a certain level, good and decent people who are then put into positions that they just aren’t up to and it comes as a surprise to everyone around them. Alberto is obviously one of those and I have to believe people around the President must have been getting a sense of this. Good heavens, I and others were sensing it from out here.

I think Gonzo is decent and honest and just not up to this shark infested environment. The President can’t follow all of his people around. Someone with access has got to be talking in his ear. Maybe they aren’t doing that. The whole thing just confuses me. I would think Josh Bolton and Karl Rove would be looking out for this type of thing, but they didn’t and here we are.

Alberto Gonzales is an apt reflection of “W”. He surrounds himself with people who are as inept as he is. I hate to admit it but I voted twice for our version of Jimmy Carter light.

Good point, but GW appointed him because he was LOYAL and OBEDIENT. Bush has expressed his indifference about border matters by his INACTION, and Gonzales dutifully takes the heat for various failures or questionable actions at DOJ. When Bush leaves office, Gonzo will likely get rewarded big time in Texas or some other place by the Bush League.

President came out in full support of him, again, today.

And yet he is still the Attorney General of the Estados Unidos.

A little harsh, I think. Gonzalez was a good Texas Supreme Court justice, but that requires little to no oversight or management of others. I think he’s out of his depth and should resign and let GW appoint somebody with more management ability.
