Whenever The Modesto Bee has an article about Khalilzad, they always make reference to the fact that he spent a year of his high school days as a foreign exchange student at Ceres (CA) High School.

That's an interesting choice, a Muslim from Afghanistan as our Ambassador to the U.N.
