TWO teenagers who wanted to experience murder told police it "felt right" to strangle a friend and bury her body in a shallow grave beneath her West Australian home.

The 17-year-old girls, who cannot be named due to their age, today faced a sentencing hearing in Perth Children's Court after pleading guilty to murdering Eliza Jane Davis in the small coal mining town of Collie on June 18, 2006.

I think it just might “feel right” to watch these two be hanged in a public forum, too...

Interesting, or perhaps not, that ‘gut feel’ is the dominant moral decision process cited by many in the required Ethics class at the U.

"We just did it because we felt like it, it is hard to explain," the other girl said.

The explanation is called evil.

Puts me in mind of these nice young men, who killed poor Bobby Franks because they felt, as superior beings, they had a "right" to do so:

I may not be a religious man, but I do hope a hell exists that is worse than prison for excrement such as these folks.

We must trust our feelings, right?

"We knew it was wrong, but it didn't feel wrong at all, it just felt right."
[snip]
Mr Stone said they chose to strangle Eliza because one of them had to return to Perth that afternoon and they wanted a quick and "non-messy" killing.
[snip]
The girls regretted the fuss the killing caused but neither felt remorse for their dead friend, Mr Stone said.

A sad sign of just how much morals in our world has deteriorated.

They have learned to love themselves, which, as we all know, is the greatest love of all. They have tapped into their inner truth, which is the source of ultimate power. They have reached the top of Maslow’s heirarchy of self-actualization. Humanist’s all over the world need to put these girls into their hall of fame.

The murderers should be executed. Actually, should already have been executed, since they admitted their crime. Just an extremely sorry example of what happens when morality is jettisoned. Personal gratification - no matter how foul, cruel or immoral - trumps right and wrong. Get rid of the eternal moral absolutes given by every scripture and religion in the world, and the world becomes a world where this type of evil will become more and more common and even "understood", and glorified.
