Saving the Earth: The Biodiesel Bus Blog (Sheryl Crow wants us to use only 1 square of TP}

Singer Sheryl Crow and environmentalist Laurie David have been traveling across America on a two-week Stop Global Warming College Tour, which winds up today at George Washington University. Crow and David (co-producer of the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" and wife of "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Larry David) have been touting their cause and chronicling their travels in a rather idiosyncratic blog. Here, on Earth Day, are a few excerpts: David (4/10, Dallas): I am jogging outside in 40 degree freezing cold . . . 70 degrees in January and 40 degrees in April. That is exactly why Sheryl Crow and I are in a biodiesel bus going thru the Southeast visiting college campuses to talk about the urgency of this issue and how everyone . . . everyone . . . has to start doing something. I would write more, but I have to go run warm water over my hands and thaw out from my run.

We're supposed to be alarmed by global warming, how about something that's for real. Bees are disappearing at an alarming rate all across the globe. Einstein said that if honey bees ever disappeared that mankind would have only 4 years left. This is just an urban myth that is being quoted everywhere these days yet nobody can return the source when asked. What is worse is that it is wrong. You don't need bees for wheat, corn, rice, or potatoes--the main staple crops of humanity. Additionally, honeybees are not the only type of pollinating insect. But continue to believe the sky is falling and feel free to continue to panic about trivial matters.

Scientists think that cell phones are interfering with the bees ability to find their way backs to their hives and are therefore are dying. Seriously, this is a real threat to mankind and not Al Gore's money making global warming agenda.I've always hated cell phones and this is one more reason for me to be against them. I'll have to do some research on it.

Now they want the government in my toilet?!? I just soooooooooo don't think so! They are already in your toilet! Nanny eco-government regulates the size of your toilet tank. Regulating toilet paper is just another small step from that. Next they'll regulate your output, perhaps by installing some sort of regulating valve on your anus. ;-)
To: Lijahsbubbe
Snopes says the status of that claim is undetermined, though it's clear he doubts Einstein ever said it.

Hey, I’d agree to the 1 square per visit but I don’t have room for a two foot square roller in my very small bathroom.

She didn’t say how big that square would be. I’d insist on 1 foot square for #1 and 2 foot square for # 2. Pretty simple, uh, isn’t she?

You know I wonder if these two absolute idiot broads ever took the time to go over the scientific aspect, the scientific evidence of what they call global warming. I assume not judging by how incredibly over the top they are. I just cannot believe how out of control this hoax has gotten is now. It just goes to show how in league liberals are with the media..It`s the pet rock theory in all its glory. Just relentless propaganda, advertising, and you can sell people on anything kind of BS no matter how ridiculous.
Pet Rocks were a 1970s fad conceived by Los Gatos, California advertising executive Gary Dahl. The first Pet Rocks were ordinary gray pebbles bought at a builder's supply store and marketed as if they were live pets. The fad lasted only about six months, ending with the Christmas season in December 1975; but in its short run, the Pet Rock made Dahl a millionaire.[1]

During World War II, I hear that the G.I.s were issued three squares: “One up, one down, one to polish it.”
Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required. Pesky occasions? She had better be pooping like a rabbit if she only wants to use 2 or 3 squares. If she poops like any other human being then she is filthy! I'd hate to imagine the smell on that bus if everyone follows her lead!
Obviously thinking is not her forte.
