Mucking Mallards drop Gilded Brushheads in 7.
Travis Moen misfires, hits it off the heel, and it spins past Emry. Another ex Hawk finds glory. VP (former Hawks GM) B(o)ob Murray is sitting in the press box laughing and calling Pully inquiring on fairway conditions around the Chicagoland area. Or even better prank calling Bill Wirtz about how many season reservation holders are now part of the hawks family.
Then with 6 ticks left on the clock, JS Gigure pulls a glove save out of his butt to deny overtime to Sens.
Anaheim Defense is imposing. Limited penetration up the middle, funnel everything to the side.
Great hits great plays great saves great hockey.

I think the best thing for the NHL would be for the Ducks to win in 6 or 7 games. The cup needs to go to California. Just like when Gretzky was traded to the Kings in 1988, it would be the best thing for hockey.
The next best thing would be for the NHL to drop NBC for its US broadcasts. Any sports network that ends a game going into overtime (a series deciding game) for over an hour and a half of pre-race horse talk prior to a minute and a half horse race should be shot.

"Any sports network that ends a game going into overtime (a series deciding game) for over an hour and a half of pre-race horse talk prior to a minute and a half horse race should be shot."No one would believe the profanity I spewed when that happened. Fortunately, I had brought home my laptop and picked up the Ottawa radio feed for the last two minutes of the OT. As I had heard the next day, you have to remember that NBC was the "Heidi Game" network.

I'm so glad the Ducks beat the Sens the other night. After Ottawa kicked out Buffalo (my favorite team), I want to see them destroyed in the Cup finals. I've never liked the Senators, but after this I really don't like them. GO DUCKS!!!

I completely agree! I was so mad when they did that. I wanted to see if the Sabres won, to see if they could hang on a bit longer or if they'd be kicked out, but no--NBC cuts off 10 minutes of OT for 75 minutes of pre-Preakness interviews with Hollywood airheads?? Pathetic.

Alfie beaned Niedermayer in the knee with a puck...on purpose! I’ve never liked the guy (especially after he knocked Buffalo out of the series), but that takes the cake. And what’s with his new haircut? He needs to grow the hair back, lol

Ya, and Don Cherry was there too. He’s awesome. And he’s a conservative, I think. He slammed Ontario newspapers for being anti-American and he called left-wings “tree huggers”. He needs to be on US TV more often!
