No one rails strongly as to dedicate hundreds of pages of text and entire months or years of their time worrying over something which, according to their own self-description (atheist) doesn't exist.
Maybe we ought to call them "theophobes" instead of atheists. Hmmm, I just coined a new term here.

Yeah, but they are making up words for him.
Assuming that the research cited was comprehensive, which is questionable, it appears that the French of myth are preferable to the French of reality. Given their birthrate, there may come a day when the only French quotes remaining will be the ones that are fabricated.

Yo are very correct. Many moons ago, I regularly participated in a Catholic forum on Prodigy. The hate that some of these Atheists possessed was obsessive. They were not angry at anything that we were doing but at our faith that we professed. There is nothing more unamerican than being a Theophobe.

"To enjoy and make others enjoy without doing ill to yourself or to others, this is the foundation of all morality." Sez who and why do so many disagree?

Not coincidentally, the continent is in a demographic tail-spin. Of the 10 nations with the lowest birthrates, nine are in Europe (the 10th is Japan). Currently, 1.5 children are born for every woman in the EU. In some countries, the rate is as low as 1.1. This is not accurate. The 2006 birth rate in South Korea was 1.08, very close to the rate for Taiwan. Hong Kong and Macao have even lower rates, although they are considered part of China. These places are emphatically not welfare states. (FWIW, I am not a European and not in favor of womb-to-tomb welfare states).
South Korea's birth rate falls to 1.08
South Korea and Taiwan have world's lowest birth rates

I've noticed the same irrational hatred from atheists, which makes the term "theophobe" most appropriate.
