It is scary. If prayers mean anything at all, the Lord will spare this wonderful still-young man to see his children grow to adulthood. Sigh...
It does indeed. :)
ROFLMAO, Big Time Dittos!
Grin...
We've had a few glasses on the nose pics through the years. Folks enjoy them. That's why I made it the POTD. :)

Thank you for posting the DOSE tonight! . . . I just love the photos both of our GQ-esque president in his tux and our thin but effervescent Tony Snow — what thest two men have been thru in the last 6 years!!
[After the November 2004 election, President Bush indicated that it took him until mid-January to rid his body of the ‘bone-level, campaign-induced’ fatigue that continued to plague him 3 months after the actual campaign had ended! . . . One can only imagine the ‘bone-level, presidential-induced’ fatigue that plagues him each and every day: The following photo ‘says’ it all — would you please post it for me?!:]

That is where the DOW closed on Friday. About 18.5% higher than the close on January 19, 2001...and, of course. 36% higher than the level reached after we were hit by Clinton’s dot-com bubble and corporate accounting scandals added to the 9/11 hit.
Unemployment was 4.7% in 2001, it is 4.4% today.
GDP was $9.875 trillion in 2001, it was $11.51 trillion in 2006.
Americans personal income rose from $8.689 trillion to $11.07 trillion between 2001 and 2006.
But, of course, it is all misery out there...complete flop of a country we’ve got, don’t you know? The left says so.
MAKE NO MISTAKE: THIS IS WAR
By Michael Chertoff
Sunday, April 22, 2007; Page B07
As the rubble of the Twin Towers smoldered in 2001, no one could have imagined a day when America’s leaders would be criticized for being tough in protecting Americans from further acts of war.
Now, less than six years later, that day has arrived.
Since Sept. 11, a conspiracy-minded fringe has claimed that American officials plotted the destruction. But when scholars such as Zbigniew Brzezinski accuse our leaders of falsely depicting or hyping a “war on terror” to promote a “culture of fear,” it’s clear that historical revisionism has gone mainstream.
Brzezinski stated the obvious in describing terrorism as a tactic, not an enemy [”Terrorized by ‘War on Terror,’ Outlook, March 25]. But this misses the point. We are at war with a global movement and ideology whose members seek to advance totalitarian aims through terrorism. Brzezinski is deeply mistaken to mock the notion that we are at war and to suggest that we should adopt “more muted reactions” to acts of terrorism.

He has gotten different frames however, IIRC.
I sure can understand.
There was a NASCAR Nextel Cup race on last night, and I chose to watch it. Jeff Gordon won his 76th race to tie the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. on the list of most wins all time.
These days I opt out of news and turn to music, sports, reading, and selected other entertainment. Like our Dubya, I wear my heart on my sleeve, and it gives me too much pain to see what the mindless mobs on both sides of the political isle are doing to him -- and to the country.
You're right. At 69, he is past his prime. His act worked in a kinder, gentler America than the one of 2007.
Maybe he was funny if it was the first time you have seen his act....this act has been the same since the 80’s....the only new thing I noticed was the lawyer joke which I thought was funny.
In some respects, your observation is spot on.
No news as yet probably know more tomorrow as the physios and occupational therapists do not work over the weekend.
I expect they may try to progress him to a regular zimmer frame (walker) tomorrow.
Thanks for you and everyone else good wishes, prayers and cards.
Triple sigh. :(
He’s 69.....I thought he was much older....yikes!
Colbert was beyond horrible. As anyone heard of him again?
The so-called "conservative" talk show hosts and columnists, as well as the rabid types around here, have SO turned me off over the past two or three years, that I'm repulsed by the very word "conservative" these days.
I know that's heresey to say on a forum like FR, but there it is anyway.
