Any finite resource, including medical care, will necessarily be rationed. In a free economy, it will be rationed by ability or willingness to pay. In a socialist economy, it will be rationed by waiting lines. But in either economy, it will be rationed.

Most importantly, in a free economy there is an incentive for health care providers to increase supply in light of increased demand. Not so with govt run system.

But in either economy, it will be rationed.Well, I've always looked upon the term "rationing" as an artificial control on supply, rather than market forces, but I suppose that you're right.
