Good move, Canada.

The sober review of the legislation trumps the “feel-good” emotion of the moment.

This is terrible. It may encourage the environmentally pristine nations of China and India to drop Kyoto.

"Canada's politicians were cursing the U.S." That is because they are weak, insignificant and worst of all for them.. they know it.

Kyoto-exempt China is perpetually covered by a vast toxic brown cloud, which drifts east to pollute the whole world.
Kyoto is a sick joke.

Good Job Mr Harper.
Cretian was a doofus to sign onto kyoto without a plan for compliance

According the NASA, dommented by CATO if every country in the world implemented Koyoto, the temp would only change .700 of one percent of one degree or nothing.
The world however, would be thrown back over 100 years of technology.

Why we waste our time and resources on cutting so-called greenhouse gases is beyond me. CO2 lags behind temperature changes, so it clearly is not the cause of “global warming”. European scientists have shown there is a direct correlation between sun activity and temperature changes. And we all know we can’t do anything to stop that. All we can do is adapt.

I’m still waiting for Germany or France to wreck their economies and follow through with their international committments. Of course, they never intended to actually do what they said they’d do. And now we find out that they haven’t even done as much to curb their own emissions as the evil George Bush. Typical liars.
There is an abject lesson here that tells us a lot about the governments of these nations and how little we can trust any agreements they make.

A change of government will do that sometimes. Congress seems to be a bit different now than a few years ago too.

We're glad to welcome Canada to the club of skeptics. Kyoto was a costly mistake, and it's time to bury it. .
