It was really pretty laughable. Timmy kept trying to get to the “gun thing” and the panel was digging their heels in on the mental health issue.

Apparently they do not feel that the time is ripe to go gun grabbing again. As you say...for now.

Oh no, Timmy hasn’t given up on the gun control issue. Has a poll that says most Americans really, really want more of it, so why aren’t the candidates jumping on the bandwagon.

They tried propping it up initially, but their bosses - democraters aren't ready touch with a 60' pole.

One thing that the insulated, isolated press corps does not realize about the VT murders - boomers are the demographic in America who have children in universities all over this country. Boomers are the dominant demographic for everything and this carnage has focused their attention powerfully.

Russert et al will not be able to shape the argument. Changes to some of these draconian stupid privacy regs will happen.
