Back to the VT killer, I find it odd that so much media time, energy,effort and air time is given to one event when we have illegals killing thousands of our citizens every year and no one hears a word about it. Talk about a double standard, what’s up with that.

Here's one theory; this act was so horrible and so incredible that the media cannot fathom a solution. Since there is no solution, it is safe to talk about at great length, because it is seen as a bottomless pit of potential for new regulations, government intervention, and government spending. Look for governments to build a line item for grief counseling into all budgets, just in case.

Whereas the illegal alien crime spree can be dealt with, but it would cause actions the media doesn't like. That is unacceptable and not to be spoken of.

I read last week somewhere that the Dems are planning to keep a “skeleton” crew in Washington through the normal August recess...so that there technically would NOT be a recess...just to keep Pres. Bush from being able to make any recess appointments.

They may plan on doing that for the Memorial Day...Mother’s Day..4th of July...and any of the other dozens of occasions they take off work for a week or more.

Right now I’m avoiding all threads about potential Republican candidates (okay, I’m reading a few Fred Threads)

I know I will vote for any Republican nominee because any Republican nominee (with a few obvious exceptions) would be better than ANY democrat nominee.

Those threads just seem to create dissension in the ranks right now, and we don’t need that.
