California has always been one of the most liberal states in the country....I grew up there. What passes and passed for conservative there would get a candidate laughed at in a state like Mississippi...... heck my very liberal friend from Illinois came to visit one time and we went to California, she was in shock when she left... what passes for a Republican there (that can get elected to higher office) is Arnie and I wouldn’t relish him for POTUS in a million years.

Arnold would be a better President than Rudy. Of course, I agree with you, I would never want him to be president.

I state again that California voted for one Democrat for president in nearly fifty years, and had Republican governors excepting Jerry Brown for nearly thirty.

My daughter was born in California. I lived there three times and was a disc jockey in the San Joaquin Valley in the 1970’s. I’ve posted facts and you’ve posted opinions.

Reagan was no liberal. But your boy Giuliani sure is.

California has always been one of the most liberal states in the country....I grew up there.

I grew up in California. My mother and father grew up here. My grandmother grew up here. Her father and his father grew up up here. Her husband, my grandfather, also grew up here, as did his parents and grandparents.

You are mistaken when you say "California has always been one of the most liberal states in the county." It was because California was pioneered by adventurous, risk-taking CAPITALISTS with conservative politics -- people like my great-great grandfathers, both agriculturalists -- that it became such a successful and prosperous place that all the East Coast and Miswestern liberals, risk-averse people who couldn't pioneer their way out of a wet paper bag, flocked to in later years.
