The Gipper tried to give us Robert Bork, then Douglas Ginzburg, then finally Anthony Kennedy as an SC justice. Kennedy had been a fairly conservative judge until he got to Washington.
Then there was Iran-Contra, which the libs tried to use as justification to impeach the man. But we had absolutely no voice. The libs and the Dems controlled the entire conversation. When they lost, like in 1980, they’d concoct some insane reason for it and whistle on their way, insisting everyone still agreed with them.
I cannot allow this party to return to 1975. There’s not much I can do, but at least I can register my opinion. We just had another 1974 election last fall. We were routed. In 1975, Gerald Ford and a bunch of thumb sucking Rino’s presented us with JP Stevens, as a Scotus nominee, who is an absolute curse and abomination. That’s when the Gipper was doing his radio shows and denouncing everything in sight.
I don’t understand people who won’t fight for a conservative candidate in the primary. To accept such a loathesome choice between Hillary and Giuliani is like choosing between a cold and the flu. I don’t like Rudy, nor do I trust him.
That's what we ALL need to do. That's all we can do.
I don't understand why we won't let the primary process play out like it has for a couple hundred years.
It is wonderful to oppose Rudy. Or McCain, of Hunter, or whoever the hell we want to oppose. Somebody please explain to me why conservatives, or even conservatives at this forum, have to be in agreement about a candidate before the first debate, much less the first primary election.
