I’m an optimist, and I choose to believe that Giuliani’s name will not be on the ballot when voting day arrives. As for third parties, “The highest percentage of the popular vote ever won by a Third Party was 27.4% by the Progressive Party candidate for President in 1912.” I could vote third party as a way of protesting, but by doing so I would also be helping the Democrats and hurting the Republicans, our military men and women, and our country’s security and future.

This has always been about conservatism versus liberalism. You have now posted your decision once again and displayed your arrogance once again. You will vote for Rudy if he is the GOP nominee and you will continue to denounce conservatives who choose to vote for a 3rd party candidate, a write-in candidate, or whether they choose to stay home or leave the ballot blank.

If the conservative movement has to leave the GOP to find a true conservative to vote for, it won't be a "protest vote." It will be as much at war with the GOP as it is with the Democrats. If you think otherwise, you're mistaken.

If conservatives say, "I won't vote for Rooty, but I will vote for Rooty if he wins the nomination,"

1) How serious are they actually?

2) How seriously do you think the political establishment will take them?

I disagree with your premise. Having voted third party twice and holding my nose and voting for W in '04, I take a back seat to NO ONE when it comes to supporting our troops.

In fact, my job, that I have performed for the last 18 years, supports them directly (and no, I will not tell you precisely where I work).
