“just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?”
Hooo-RAH!!!!!! GIVE IT TO THEM JIM!!!!!!!
JulieAnnie is as much a Republican as I am the King of Siam!!
Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson and Hucakbee are the three best candidates for President.
Oh, WOW! I finally had an opportunity to read this. This is DEAD ON! When the petition went out to recall Gray Davis, I signed it. When it came time to vote for the governor in the recall election, I voted for Tom McClintock. I did not doubt that there wasn’t a chance in heck of McClintock winning, but I could not, in any good conscience, vote for a flaming liberal, even if he did have an R by his name, was charming, and rode that white horse. You know what? I have never regretted my decision, and and sleep I lose is not over having made a decision to compromise my ethics and standards just to retain power, to get someone in office with an R next to his name. I mean, if I had done that, well, that would make me a liberal, wouldn’t it?
Amen!
You listed all of the things that have been making us angry for at least 15 years. And, raising our blood pressure dangerously.
Nope. Not, gonna go with no faux-repub
Thank You FR for the “ping” as we missed this article by Jim Robinson.
At this time we at the RQSR are not in support of anybody in particular in the campaign for the Presidency of the United States, however we are adamently opposed to selection of Rudy Guiliani as the Republican Candidate.
The article by Jim Robinson highlights the vast majority of the reasons we are in agreement.
"The OFFICIAL '24' weekly Season 6 Live thread!" 11,497 posts......Just wondering
Yes I know Rudy will be the end of the Conservative Movement if he is elected PotUS.
You had me at “hello”
;-)
Well, if push comes to shove... that is, if come November, we are faced having to chose between Hillary or Giuliani... I’ll barf, but I will vote for him.
Jim,
I couldn’t have said it better! Thank you so much for putting my feelings into words. I am proud to be a part of the FR community, prouder still to be an American (and conservative), and proudest of all to be a servant of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for your efforts!
Sean
Yes?
Wait..... no.
Is this the thread that got everyone banned?
I’m sorry to see some go, but if we had to sacrifie half the posters to get MiaT’s screeds off the air, then it was well worth it!
Hillary is scary, but Mia’s mannequins were more spooky than Cho writings.
bttt
Is there an entry in the Guiness Book of world records for longest threads? If so what is the screen name of their observer and I hope he is a conservative for goodness sakes!
wow, only 11,000+ replies?
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
In May 1999, it was Bush (”the cokehead daddy’s boy”, as I recall), now in April 2007, it’s Giuliani (”the liberal abortionist”). The primaries have been pushed up this time around, so it makes sense that it’s occurring about now.
I have one question: When Giuliani becomes the Republican nominee like Bush did last time, are you going to tuck your tail between your legs and make this site the Republican Party/Giuliani cheerleader site, or are you going to support some fourth-party lunatic like Howard Phillips.
I suspect I know what the answer is, and it has a lot to do with greenbacks, but maybe you’ll act differently this time.
Which reminds me, it is also quite predictable that you did this around fundraising time. In fact, that’s usually when all of these bannings occur, as memory serves me.
Cheers.
Conservative-first, Republican-SECOND, Pragmatist-Never AGAIN!
Bump for later read (!)
On President Reagen’s 96th birthday, Mark Levin played this speech from 1964. Even though it was 43 years ago, so many of the President’s points apply today.
It is about 30 mins. long, but it is worth the time to listen. Click on the “speaker icon”. There is commentary from Mark at the end of the speech.
Thanks to MLF for archiving the speech.

Mr. Jim, if you feel this is not appropriate for this thread,I will understand , but I thought it would help us focus.
It is also so wonderful to hear President’s Reagen’s voice again!
Bump
In a word, No.
