April 21, 2007 -- A group of Israelis has launched a grass-roots effort to get people living in the Jewish state who are eligible to vote in the United States to line up behind Rudy Giuliani, it was reported yesterday.
The group, Giuliani Supporters in Israel, was launched by Mordechai Twersky, a onetime candidate for state Assembly in The Bronx in the early 1990s, according the Jerusalem Post.
Twersky has established a Web site, giulianisupportersinisrael.org, with background information including Giuliani's famed eviction of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat from a Lincoln Center concert in 1995.
"I did this as a private personal initiative, as a proud American and Israeli citizen, and I am confident that it will catch on," Twersky told the paper.
He said the campaign hadn't set up his group, but that he's been in contact with Team Giuliani since he got started.
Giuliani has historically been popular with Jewish voters, and took a hard pro-Israel line when he was in office. Giuliani's campaign didn't return The Post's calls for comment.
However, members of the group Republicans Abroad in Israel told the Jerusalem Post that they will sit on the sidelines during the GOP primary and then support the party's nominee.
In some past elections, planeloads of Israelis with American citizenship have flown to the United States to vote.

How things have changed since. Now, some in America
support these serial murderers of Americans with millions of dollars for more terrorism,
especially from the US Department of State-Sponsored Terrorism.
***Mr. Giuliani also rejected the panels recommendation that America tie the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict to stabilizing Iraq. When asked about this linkage on Mr. Pragers radio show, Mr. Giuliani said, Israel and Palestine is an important issue. Sometimes its used as an excuse to deal with underlying issues. But the reality here is that the Islamo-fundamentalist terrorists are at war with our way of life, with our modern world, with rights for women, religious freedom, societies that have religious freedom. And all of that would still exist, no matter what happens in Israel and Palestine.***
This is one thing I like heartily about Rudy.
Rudy not only gets it, but ARTICULATES it! The islamofascists are hiding behind jew hatred and israel hatred to push their evil agenda. If Israel were wiped off the map tomorrow, the islamofascists would continue their evil agenda.
It’s a beginning.
This is one of the few issues I can have agreement with him on.
That’s good to hear.
A group of Israelis has launched a grass-roots effort to get people living in the Jewish state who are eligible to vote in the United States ...I have problem with this - a HUGH problem.
I don't care if they are Israelis, Mexicans or Martians, but this dual nationality crap is UN AMERICAN.
You cannot serve two masters. You are either an American Citizen loyal ONLY to the USA or you AIN'T - period, end, stop.
Israel and the U.S. are watching each others’ backs.
With is something neither can rely upon.
Nations have no permanent friends and no permanent enemies. Only permanent interests. - Lord Palmerston
If the President of the US owes his position to the citizens of another nation, whom does he serve?
Do you really think their votes will change the outcome?
It’s a show of thanks and support.
Giuliani would not have pussyfooted around our Saudi enemies, unlike Bush who seems to give them a pass because his mother considers Prince Abdullah “like a son”, and he grew up with the diaperheads.

Many senior leaders focus on defining goals to the n-th degree while short-circuiting the how-to-get-there discussion, but Giuliani clearly likes the “how” as much as the “what.”
That dual loyalty charge goes back to the Protocols and earlier. It often rears it’s ugly head whenever Jews are the topic.
I think it’s time to look for fresh perspectives in our next round of elected leaders.
As leader of the Free World, you see plenty of global pandering...
Bump
They’re real grifters.
