A mere seven years ago, Baldwin made
Thomas the Tank Engine and the Magic Railroad and on Leno he commented he was doing it for his daughter, who means the world to him.
Here is the plot:
Mr. Conductor's supply of magic gold dust, which allows him to travel between Shining Time and Thomas's island, is critically low. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to get more. Meanwhile, Thomas is fending off attacks by the nasty diesel engines. Getting more gold dust will require help from Mr. C's slacker cousin, his new friend Lilly, and her morose grandfather, plus the secret engine he's hidden all these years and couldn't get running.

House Approves Vote for D.C. April 19, 2007
Reuters---The capital of the United States would get its first full representative in the U.S. Congress under a bill approved Thursday in defiance of a White House veto threat.
The Democratic-led House of Representatives voted 241-177 to expand its chamber and provide a representative for the District of Columbia, a city commonly referred to as Washington in honor of America's first president.
Mayor Andrian Fenty called the action "a great and historic day for the residents of the District of Columbia" and urged the Senate to give its needed concurrence.

He either needed more magic dust or was coming off his last trip to Shining Time.
Just wait. In five years, his daughter will write, “Daddy Dearest”.
