You will hardly see any Russian politicians at the Russian Economic Forum in London, since they were recommended to disregard it. Russian authorities are sure: to solve your problems Russian businessmen don't have to go to London, they can easily do it at St Petersburg Economic Forum in June. However, the moment chosen for giving advice isn't the best, as, due to the tense relationship between Russia and western countries, the RF may be accused of deliberate attempt to stand apart from Europe. Some companies refused to go to the Forum after the politicians, nobody wants to "to get it in the neck" from the government. Last year the situation was completely different. The Russian Economic Forum in London was almost the only place to have an audience with the most seldom-seen people of the Russian business. Sunday will show us which companies think their economic interests are more important than recommendations of the president.
Sounds like it might be dangerous for Russian businessmen to go to this London forum. It might be a real “glow in the dark” experience. It appears that putin is now “Dictator for Life”.
