Police say cylinder in car not a bomb (False Alarm at CMU)

Police have reopened Forbes Avenue between Craig Street and Morewood Avenue after determining that there was no bomb in a car they stopped on the Carnegie Mellon University campus.

According to my step-daughter, who works at CMU, the person that the police stopped was a CMU student that had a school project in his car that apparently looked just like a bomb with fins and everything.

There are actually some pictures on a CMU employees website and it looks like an old iron bomb but smaller. Promised no to give out the URL for bandwidth reasons
