Leader of the Democratic majority in the US Congress, Harry Reid, has said the US has lost the Iraq war, and Bush's troop surge has failed......
"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," Reid stated.
The same comments were made to President Bush when he had convened with senior lawmakers to persuade them to pass the emergency war funding bill.
Congress is trying to confine the war spending bill to a timetable for the removal of troops from Iraq.
Reid's comments came a day after 200 fatalities were reported in bombings in Iraq, despite a much touted US Security Plan which the White House said sought to root out insurgency.
Axis Sally, Mildred Gillars, served 8 years for treason for less.
Can we question his patriotism yet?!

The minimal support the dem party had with current members of the military and their families, as well as former members of the military and their families is probably gone after this comment. The dems are having a very bad week, Hillary’s numbers are going down, the SC ruled against them on abortion and Reid knows he’s going to lose the battle over the Iraq war funding. Screw him.

Exactly. The true parallel to Iraq to Vietnam is that we were winning and the Dems wanted to cut and run. A million+ people died when we withdrew. At that time, their wasn’t a consequence of a nuclear armed North Vietnam like thier is with Iran, although I have a feeling they would have ignored it then as they do now.
Okay, Harry can STFU now.
The Democrats in Congress would be boot lickers to Stalin or Hitler. If they had been at Valley Forge, they would have deserted George Washington. They are allies of the terrorists.

A former 1960s radical, Horowitz is well-acquainted with the Leftist mindset. In this book, he strives to explain the modern alliance between left wing progressivists and radical Islamofascists. He argues that this alliance is based on a common desire to destroy Western capitalism. Leftist sympathy with Islamofascist ideas makes no sense from an intellectual point of view, given that countries ruled by radical Islamists are among the most racist, sexist, theocratic states in the world today. However, Leftists have recognized that they can benefit politically from destructive terrorist attacks on the Western world. A West under attack can be made to turn on its leaders in fear and desperation (as they did in Spain after the Madrid train bombings). Only once people reject current government structures can the Left execute its anti-capitalist revolution and build a new reality that mirrors the Leftist view of utopia.
The complete and utter idealogical hypocrisy of the Islamofascist-Leftist alliance is distressing, but as Horowitz reminds us,

Reid has already done that himself. That has to be the most unpatriotic statement I've ever seen coming from an elected person of his position. The direct way in which he phrased it is clearly cheerleading for the people who are we are at war with.
When is Reid up for re-election? I can see him being the next Daschle.
I don't know when Reid is up for election...but as I recall, he had falsified campaign documents where he didn't report what appeared to be a dirty land deal he did. I wonder when that'll be properly investigated. Probably never since dems are allowed to be corrupt.
