Oh boy. THANK YOU for the information. We just got a Papillon rescue dog (literally a bitch taken from a puppy mill at age 5), and had to do extensive dental on her a couple of months ago. Many of her teeth were malformed and abscessed. So what do we do?? Of course we charge into the store and stock up on Alpo canned food for her recovery period. I swear, if she gets sick or dies from eating that junk I’ll sue their pants off!

It’s not too late — I love Papillon’s..... check out sitstay for their grain-free treats and chewies. my dogs love the knuckle bones they sell... I usually make two large treat purchases a year... or onlynaturalpets.com... same thing... Onlynatural has a good selection of natural foods, warning you will spend a lot of time reading on their site... look for a grain-free food, healthy treats and you should have your dog for a long time..
