I think Ann’s columns are always good, and this one is no exception. Sometimes I find her columns a little “raw.” I think it is because they are based on raw logic (in addition to being very well informed). Her writing lacks the soft edges of many authors, male and female both. For a while, I was reading her articles a week or two late so that the emotions of today’s news would wear off. But then, I’m one or two weeks late on her keen insights, logical juxtapositions, and citing of relevant case history.
Speaking of the emotions of today’s news, my wife watched Shepard Smith and they were both choking up with tears welling in the eyes.
“Terrorists, starting with airline hijackers, turn violence into theater - all for the purpose of news coverage.”
And terrorists used BOX CUTTERS to take over airplanes, thanks to laws which emasculated passengers’ wills to survive.
He who has the will and the opportunity can do much harm. Much lethal harm.
To sit back passively and both watch and let anything like this happen—may we never do this again. May we never teach our children to throw up their hands in fear or line up meekly before those who would kill, whatever that means of killing might be.

Yup. Last night on Glenn Beck the guest host had on Ted Nugent and some drone from Sarah Brady Campaign. The Nuge was first and he was right on the money of course. Then the SB drone opened up with several outright lies. Bald-faced lies that "studies show that everywhere there are more guns, towns, cities, countries there is more viiolence."
Unfortunately that was then end of the segment. Nugent didn't get a chance to respond and I know he would have flat out called the guy a liar and he would have cited John Lott or some other researcher/study by name. Unlike the anti-gun liar.

I watched part of an interview with the president of NBC and he said there were portions of the videos that would never be shown.

We live in a “everybody has a gun” area. Crime rate - zero. Why? Because we all have guns. There’s some driving fast, some drunks acting like drunks and from time to time some domestic violence, which are quickly taken care of. Where? I’m not going to tell because we are afraid of folks who want to live in such an environment, but want to bring along their liberal crap.
There would be bloodshed ya’know.
