No, you don’t say!

This guy was just skirting the edges of insanity and criminality. He was never quite far enough gone to commit or arrest him, I guess.

And I doubt that the mental illness would have shown up at his entry. He was 8.

The McCarren act is for aliens who develop mental illness after entering the US. It states that the alien must always meet the criteria required for entry. It does not state an age requirement for entry.

The article says he was committed by a court of law. That is grounds to forbid one from owning a firearm. The arrest and adjudication should have shown up on the fed background check. What's the purpose if the records aren't complete and maintained by the State of VA?

The school should have suspended him. Look at the Duke students, they were suspended. Why was this guy allowed to continue in school?
